Crayon Pop Release New Track Lonely Christmas to Mark the Festive Season

Crayon Pop have unleashed their first totally new track since this summer's Bar Bar Bar epidemic. Composed by the same songwriter as their biggest hit, the MV for 'Lonely Christmas' dropped today December 1st. The song is available for digital download on all the major music sites and a physical release including a set of special limited edition Crayon Pop Christmas cards has hit the shelves in recent days.

POPCON in Seoul - Crayon Pop's First Korean Solo Concert

Crayon Pop's first solo concert in Seoul, POPCON - held at the end of October was broadcast recently on Korean TV channel MBC Music (former home of Crayon Pop's reality show Colorful Growth Diary). The concert itself featured live performances from special guests Bumkey, The Seeya, 100% and MYNAME although only 100% made it to broadcast alongside Crayon Pop. Bar Bar Bar composer Kim Yoo Min debuted a new song called 'Road' featuring Choa and Way while the whole group performed their new ballad track 'I'm Beautiful'.

Crayon Pop to Hong Kong?

As we all know the MAMA 2013 awards are being held in Hong Kong this year (and Crayon Pop have been shortlisted in 4 categories). Crayon Pop have just announced their intentions through twitter for a four day trip from November 20th to 24th in order to attend the ceremony and carry out some promotions, giving all you lucky Hongkongers the opportunity to see the fantastic five in real life.

Crayon Pop head to Australia for promotions

Not content with having taken Korea by storm with Bar Bar Bar this year, Crayon Pop have now set their sights on the Australian market.

They have lined up a week's worth of promotions in Sydney and Melbourne starting November 4th. Aussie Crayon Pop fans can expect much the same as Korean fans have been getting for the past year, with a series of guerrilla performances planned for new and interesting places in Australia's major cities!

You can probably expect an avalanche of local media appearances, performances and interviews as soon as they hit the ground too.

Crayon Pop win at 2013 Style Icon Awards

Consolidating theirs status as leaders of the fashion forward pack Crayon Pop have been crowned 'New Icon' at the 2013 Style Icon Awards, donning a special black and gold version of their Bar Bar Bar outfits to mark the occasion.

They also performed a special stage live at the awards ceremony which you can view below:

Dancing Queen 2.0 MV Released

Crayon Pop have returned with an MV to promote a retooled version of their sleeper hit of late 2012 Dancing Queen. It marks the return of the classic school uniform and tracksuit pants combo which got occasional outings during the original promotion period of the song.

While we previously had to make do with an edited down version of the song played over some guerrilla performance footage Crayon Pop fans now have the television friendly MV they've always wanted!

The reason for Crayon Pop's safety helmets has become clear as they hit the roof of Billboard's weekly K-Pop chart on August 15th. The infectious K-Pop cut spent 6 weeks gradually climbing the chart before finally claiming top spot powered by their signature straight 5 cylinder engine dance. The girls managed to hold off the challenge of 2NE1 and their track 'Do You Love Me?' to secure Crayon Pop's first number 1 placing on a major weekly music chart.

Chrome and Sony Sign Deal

Chrome Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment have revealed details of a strategic cooperation agreement. Sony will be involved in the publishing of Crayon Pop's future albums as well as assisting in promotional activities both at home and overseas.

Crayon Pop have moved up another 5 places on the Instiz Weekly Chart to rank 4th for the week ending August 4th.

In recent days two separate groups of Korean police officers have uploaded their cover versions of Crayon Pop's hit. After more than a month on release, Crayon Pop's Bar Bar Bar climbed to the top of MelOn's real time chart on the morning of August 2nd.

Released in back in June, Crayon Pop's song took 44 days to reach the summit of MelOn's real time chart.

Crayon Pop's Bar Bar Bar MV reached a major landmark on July 30th as it became their first Youtube video to pass 1 million views.

The dance version music video showcasing Crayon Pop's now signature series 5 cylinder dance was released after the story version MV but has become the first to hit the 1,000,000 views figure.

Crayon Pop make an appearance at DJ DOC's 2013 Summer Pool Party

Crayon Pop recently performed at DJ DOC's annual poolside party alongside acts such as 4minute, 45rpm, and  Moon Myung Jin. The event was held on the 20th of July at Seoul's Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel.
